In TCM theory, myopia is associate with the deficiency in the organs of the liver and kidney, deficiency in blood and Qi (Energy) for over – used eyes, bad reading posture and nutrition imbalance.

TCM acupuncture and acupressure activate the blood supply and flow of Qi to treat myopia. A painless, non-invasive form of acupuncture, auricular acupuncture (adhesive ear point seed) is often used for teenage myopia conditions. Herbal medicine further augments liver and kidney functions.
