Profile
A/Prof. Adrian Yap is a Consultant and Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics at Raffles Hospital and the Dental Director of Raffles Dental. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in Restorative Dentistry at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Science and Technology, SIM University (UniSIM). His areas of specialty include Restorative (implants, crowns, veneers etc.), TMJ (jaw/facial pain and dysfunction) and Sleep (bruxism, snoring, sleep apnea) Dentistry. In addition to his basic and specialist dental training, he also holds a PhD in material science and Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy from NUS.
A/Prof. Yap has been honored with many teaching, research, academic and clinical awards including the prestigious 3M Dental Postgraduate Prize from the Institute of Dental Surgery, London. He has authored more than 160 referred journal articles, 360 conference/seminar papers and several book chapters. A/Prof. Yap serves in the editorial board of a number of journals including the American Journal of Dentistry (USA), Operative Dentistry (USA) and Practical Procedures & Aesthetic Dentistry (USA). He is a sought-after speaker who has lectured and conducted numerous courses on TMJ/Sleep and Restorative Dentistry both locally and internationally.
