Profile

Dr Tony Tan is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Besides general obstetrics and gynaecology (ie. deliveries and gynaecological operations), he also specialises in the management of high risk pregnancies. Dr Tan has skills in all aspects of clinical management of multiple pregnancies including prenatal diagnosis, surveillance, treatment of complications and reducing risk of premature delivery. He specialises in fetal screening (eg. first trimester screening, fetal anomaly scan, growth scan and Doppler studies), invasive diagnostic procedures (eg. amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, fetal blood sampling) and fetal therapy.

Dr Tan was trained in fetal medicine and fetal therapy at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, London. He is visiting consultant to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Singapore General Hospital, and the Vice-President of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Singapore. He is also a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in UK and Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
