Q:I am not in Singapore, how can I make an appointment?
A:You can make an appointment through our 24 hours hotline - +65 6311 1222. Alternatively, you can email to specialist@raffleshospital.com and we would respond to your query within the next 48 hours.
Q:How soon can I make an appointment?
A:Same day appointments are available.
Q:I do not know which doctor I should consult. What should I do?
A:Our staff would be able to advise you on this. Just contact us with as much information of your condition via our enquiries hotline: +65 6311 1111 or email to enquiries@raffleshospital.com.
Q:Do I need a doctor’s referral for an appointment?
A:No, you need not get a doctor’s referral for an appointment with our doctors.
Q:What medical information should I bring with me?
A:It would be great if you could bring along as much medical information as you could.
Q:Can I consult a specialist without an appointment?
A:Yes, you can consult a specialist without an appointment but we will need to slot you in at whatever available timings. It would be encouraged that you get an appointment to prevent needless waiting.
Q:How long does it take to schedule a surgery after my consultation with the doctor?
A:This would depend on the complexity of the surgery but a surgery can usually be arranged within 3 to 5 days of the consultation or even earlier.

Charges

Q:Will the charges be higher if I am a foreign patient?
A:No, Raffles Hospital charges a flat fee for all patients, regardless of nationality.
Q:What kind of payment mode do you accept?
A:We accept cash, credit card, VISA, and NETS.
Q:Can I know the estimated costs of surgery prior to my visit to Raffles Hospital?
A:We can arrange for a financial counsellor to advise you on the estimated costs. However, this may change so a more detailed financial counselling meeting will be made after the consultation with your doctor.
Q:I have bought travel insurance and medical insurance policies. Will my surgery expenses be covered by these policies?
A:As diferent travel and medical insurance policies offers different coverages, please check with your insurance company to confirm on the coverage and extent of coverage for your surgery expenses.
Q:My insurance company has confirmed coverage for my surgery expenses. What should I do now?
A:

Please obtain a letter of guaranteee from your insurance company. If your insurance company is one of whom Raffles Hospital has a direct billing arrangement with, please present the letter of guarantee prior to or during your hospital admission procedure.. You would still be required to pay a part of the bill which includes but not limited to co-payments, deductibles, and non-payments.

If your insurance company is yet to have a direct billing arrangement with Raffles Hospital, the extension of cashless arrangement will be reviewed on a case by case basis upon receipt of the letter of guarantee. You may be required to make payments for the surgery first, then claim from your insurance company.


Consultation

Q:I am unable to speak fluent English. How can I communicate with your doctor?
A:We have a team of patient service officers trained in various languages. We have amongst use native speakers of Mandarin, Indonesian Malay, Hindi, Russian, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Burmese and Japanese.
Q:I need to leave Singapore tomorrow, but the result is still not ready. What should I do?
A:We could arrange for the results to be sent to you.
Q:I have finished the medication prescribed by the doctor in Raffles Hospital. I need more of that medication. What should I do?
A:You can contact us through our enquiries hotline (65) 6311 1111 to make arrangements. We will then courier the medication over to you.
