Starting from 8 December 2020, COVID-19 testing for children aged 12 and below is available at appointed Raffles Paediatric Swab Centres under the Swab and Send Home (SASH) initiative.
If your child has been assessed by your General Practitioner (GP) to have acute respiratory illness or any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 infection, they can refer your child to our paediatric clinic for trained healthcare professionals to perform a swab test. After completing the swab test, your child is required to stay home and reduce contact with other individuals until the results are out.
The cost of the COVID-19 swab test will be fully covered by MOH and parents need not pay.
If your child’s result is negative, you will be notified by SMS. If the result is positive, your GP and a MOH representative will contact you on the next steps. For further information, you may refer to the MOH COVID-19’s advisory here.
