Profile:

Dr Tan Siew Kiang graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Malaya, following which she came to Singapore to pursue her medical career.  After completion of the basic specialist training in internal medicine and obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and Master of Medicine (Singapore), she went on to advanced specialist training in dermatology at the National Skin Centre and Changi General Hospital. Dr Tan has experience in the management of general and aesthetic dermatology and has special interest in treating dermatologic conditions affecting women such as acne, hair loss, scars, pigmentation, genital or vulvar rashes. Dr Tan believes in the importance of effective communication and being multilingual.  She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu as well as the dialects Teochew, Hokkien and Cantonese, and she is able to tailor her treatment to every individual under her care.

Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, Dr Tan was a dermatologist at Changi General Hospital and a clinical tutor for the National University of Singapore.  In recognition for her patient care, she was awarded Eastern Health Alliance Caring Award in 2011/2012. Aside from clinical practice, Dr Tan is also active in dermatological research and has published numerous scientific research articles in peer-reviewed international medical journals.  Her work has also been presented at many local and international conferences.  In recognition of these achievements, she received the Singhealth Medical Research Publication Award in 2010 and the Protection of Public Health & Safety Excellent Team Player Award from Health Sciences Authority in 2013.
