Interventional cardiology and peripheral intervention
Dr Teo Swee Guan is a Cardiologist. He obtained his MBBS (Hons) and B Sc (Medicine) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He completed his medical training in UK with full General Medical Council registration and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Cardiology).
Dr Teo received advanced specialist training in Cardiology at the National University Hospital (Singapore). Subsequently, he underwent subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology at Siegburg Heart Center, Germany, as well as in Vascular Medicine and Peripheral Intervention at the Cleveland Clinic, USA.
Dr Teo was previously a Senior Consultant and Clinical Director of the Coronary Care Unit at the National University Heart Centre. He was also Deputy Director of Vascular Laboratory at the National University Heart Centre.
Dr Teo’s areas of expertise include general cardiology, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and peripheral vascular intervention and heart failure. He performs cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary and peripheral vascular intervention; as well as non-invasive tests such as echocardiography, ambulatory blood pressure, ambulatory ECG, and treadmill exercise stress tests.
