Dr Kelvin Tam is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder & elbow problems. He believes in accurate diagnosis, patient education and aggressive non-operative treatment. If surgery is required, he is able to perform the most advanced minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques. He performs arthroscopic and open shoulder surgery, including shoulder replacement surgery, as well as treatment of fractures and other problems of the shoulder and elbow.
After receiving his medical degree at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr Tam joined the Department of Orthopedics & Traumatology in Tuen Mun Hospital, and developed his interests and experience in sports surgery, especially in shoulder problems.
He is a council member of the Sports Chapter of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association; Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor (Department of Orthopedics) and Adjunct Assistant Professor (School of Biomedical Sciences) in the Chinese University of Hong Kong; and Honorary Clinical Tutor in the Department of Orthopedics in the University of Hong Kong.
