Patrick graduated from the University College Dublin in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience). He then went on to obtain his Masters in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Limerick. Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, Patrick practised in a Neuro-rehabilitation centre in Ireland, and the National University Hospital, Singapore. He has extensive experience managing the swallowing and communication needs of patients from a diverse caseload, including geriatrics, oncology, neurology, intensive care and neurosurgery. Patrick also has expertise in tracheostomy management and videofluoroscopic swallowing studies.
Apart from clinical work, Patrick is also actively involved in clinical quality improvement, medico-legal issues, clinical education and research.
