Memories Café
AMF continues to support the Alzheimer’s Disease Association for another year of the project−Memories Café. Each session lasts for two hours. During the first hour, people with dementia (PWD) will engage in performing arts activities with their caregivers such as singing, quartet performances, puppetry, story-telling and drama activities. In the later part of the session, refreshments are served while PWD caregivers, volunteers, staff and café diners interact and socialise with one another. This social interaction provides a platform for all to mingle and creates an inclusive environment for PWD and caregivers.
The Memories Café programme has three key objectives:
- Provide a social platform for PWD and their caregivers.
- Raise public awareness about dementia.
- Dampen the social stigma and stereotypes that the public may attach to PWD.

Help rendered to an elderly patient
In 2011, a Raffles Hospital doctor decided to provide voluntary free consultations to a needy elderly patient upon learning that he was unable to afford healthcare. Since October 2011, the AMF has also been offsetting his medical bills in a bid to ensure he gets the required care.
Raffles Gives Back Project
AMF adopted “Raffles Gives Back Project” by Raffles Hospital through which their staff fundraise and/or donate to Zion Home For The Aged and Bethesda Care and Counselling Services Centre as the selected beneficiaries.
South Central Community Family Service Centre
The objective of this project is to provide nutritional education to low-income and vulnerable families in the community.
Project SilverCare (PSC) 2018
AMF supported PSC in 2018. PSC conducts an annual free health screening event jointly organised by NUS students from the Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy faculties.
In 2018, PSC provided free community health assessment and screening to about 55 residents in the homes at rental housing blocks of Bukit Batok Block 109 and 210A.
Project Kidney
Project Kidney was initiated by a team of eight Secondary Two students from RGS. Project Kidney aims to combat the prevalence of chronic kidney disease among elderly citizens. This is done in two ways, by emphasising on the importance of health screenings and teaching the elderly who suffer from Chronic Kidney Diseases to maintain their condition.
AMF sponsored two health screenings held at Tembusu SAC & SilverAce SAC.
