Baby and Child Vaccinations

Recommended Vaccinations Under the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NCIP)

Children in Singapore are encouraged to get vaccinated based on the immunisation schedule by the Ministry of Health (MOH). All Raffles Children's Centre clinics carry the vaccines recommended by MOH. We are Baby Bonus approved, which means you can pay for approved immunisations using their Childhood Development Account (CDA) or your Baby Bonus cash gift.

Below are the recommended vaccinations for your child, and the immunisation schedule based on Singapore’s National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NCIP):

Combination Vaccines

Our clinics offer the primary series of diphtheria pertussis and tetanus vaccinations as combination vaccines for your child. These formulations combine vaccines for several diseases into a single injection, which potentially reduces the number of injections your child will receive:

The 5-in-1 injection consists of vaccines against diphtheria / pertussis / tetanus (DPT), polio, and haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib).

The 6-in-1 injection consists of vaccines against diphtheria / pertussis / tetanus (DPT), polio, haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), and Hepatitis B.

The MMRV injection consists of vaccines against mumps, measles, rubella (MMR), and chicken pox.

Please check with us to find out if your child is suitable for these vaccinations.

We also offer vaccination and checkup packages to keep your baby protected.

Optional Childhood Vaccinations

Besides the recommended vaccinations, you may also wish to consider obtaining additional protection for your child by getting the following vaccinations for him / her. Discuss the options with your paediatrician:

Rotavirus vaccination
This vaccination protects against rotavirus gastroenteritis, a common cause of diarrhoea in young children. Rotavirus gastroenteritis can be severe and prolonged, leading to dehydration and hospitalisation. We offer two types of rotavirus vaccinations which require a series of two or three doses, depending on your preference.

Varicella vaccination
This vaccination protects against chicken pox, which is taken by your child in two doses. The first dose can be taken any time after your child is one year old, and the second dose six weeks after. It can also be given as a combination with the MMR vaccine to minimise the number of injections.

Influenza vaccination
This vaccination protects against the influenza virus, which can result in severe flu, pneumonia and even death in children. As the virus strain is constantly changing, we recommend updating your child’s vaccination annually. If your child is below nine years old and is taking the vaccine for the first time, he / she will require two doses one month apart.

Travel vaccinations for specific regions
Depending on your travel destination, you may wish to get your child vaccinated against region-specific diseases before travelling. Check our Children’s Travel Clinic page for the list of recommended vaccinations.

Region-Specific Childhood Immunisation Schedule

If your family spent a long time overseas before residing in Singapore, or gave birth overseas, your child would have followed a different immunisation schedule, depending on your previous country of residence. At Raffles Children's Centre, we can customise your child’s immunisation schedule to match that of Singapore’s.

We also offer specific vaccinations for overseas-born children who are following their country of birth’s immunisation schedule. Even though most overseas childhood immunisation schedules are largely similar to Singapore’s, some countries may have additional requirements. We provide these additional vaccinations for specific countries:
