General Paediatric Medicine
Childhood Behaviour and Development
Learning and behavioural disorders such as speech delay, autism, and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder can be managed if recognised early. We can identify such disorders and develop an appropriate treatment plan for your child to ensure his or her growth and well-being.
Gastroenterology and Nutrition
Our paediatric gastroenterologist can address concerns regarding your child’s feeding issues or gastroenterological conditions. Together with a dietitian, we will advise on the treatment and care needed to ensure your child’s healthy and optimal growth.
Children are increasingly prone to developing allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, and eczema. We can investigate the symptoms and develop the appropriate treatment plan for your child. We can also conduct skin prick tests for food and other allergens.
Paediatric skin diseases, such as rashes and skin infections, can be worrying for you and your child, especially if they are visually obvious. Our paediatricians can help to diagnose and manage such conditions accordingly.
Our paediatric nephrologist can address concerns in children suffering from kidney-related disorders such as recurrent urinary tract infection, urinary frequency, bedwetting problems, high blood pressure, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis including lupus, genetic kidney diseases including prenatal and foetal abnormalities, and chronic kidney disease.
General Paediatric Surgery
Unlike adults, children undergoing surgery often have special physiological and psychological considerations. Our paediatric surgical team at Raffles Children's Centre is well-positioned to treat children of all ages, ranging from premature newborns to teenagers.
We are trained to be sensitive to the needs of you and your child, while preparing your child for surgery. From common conditions like phimosis and inguinal hernias to less commonly-encountered diseases such as Hirshsprung’s Disease and childhood tumours, our team adopts a holistic approach to ensure your child’s well-being.
