Profile:

Dr Steve Yang is a Respiratory Physician. He graduated from NUS in 1994 and obtained his MRCP in 2000. He subsequently received training in Respiratory Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine at SGH, and underwent 2 years of training at the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, University of Washington Medical Centre. He was conferred a Fellowship with the College of Chest Physicians in 2005, and obtained the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine in 2006.

Dr Yang was previously a consultant in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine in SGH. He was involved in the care of patients with general medical diseases as well as respiratory diseases. He was also responsible for the management of critically-ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. He is an active member of the Singapore Thoracic Society and the International Governor (Singapore) for the American College of Chest Physicians. He is also a clinical teacher at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and an instructor for the Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course.

Dr Yang has a special interest in critical care medicine, pulmonary infections and chronic lung disorders. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and interstitial lung disease.
