Functional cancer imaging and therapeutics
Dr Andrew Tan is a Nuclear Medicine Physician. Previously working in the Singapore General Hospital, Dr Tan obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2001 and subsequently obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Radiologists in the United Kingdom in 2008. He was accredited as a Specialist in Nuclear Medicine in 2010, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore in 2011. He also obtained a Diplomate in Nuclear Cardiology from the Certification Board in Nuclear Cardiology in the United States in 2012.
Dr Tan is experienced in nuclear and molecular imaging techniques, with special interest in functional cancer imaging and therapeutics. He has been on training stints to Zentralklinic Bad Berka in Germany and the European Institute of Oncology in Italy, and is well-versed in procedures such as breast radioguided surgery, peptide receptor radionuclide therapy and F18-choline PET imaging of prostate cancers in Singapore.
