Dr Cassandra Loo received her medical degree from Loma Linda University in California, USA in 1999.  She completed a residency programme in Internal Medicine at the same university in 2002.  During her training, she developed her distinctive “Whole Person Care” philosophy which embodies not just the physical, but, the emotional and spiritual, too.  Because of her work ethic and passion for helping patients, she was awarded the “Intern of the Year” distinctive award in 2000.  She was offered the position of “Chief Resident” following her residency completion.  However, she chose to leave academic medicine and pursue a career in inpatient internal medicine.  She was certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in 2002 and recertified in 2012.

Dr Loo has spent the bulk of her career at Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Centre where she is known for her compassionate bedside manner, detail-oriented consultations, and pragmatic approach to team-based care of the patient.  She has special interest in lifestyle diseases that can be improved with nutritional and lifestyle interventions.  Patient education has become one of her hallmarks.
