Profile:

Dr Benjamin Lee is a Family Physician Specialist at Raffles Medical. He graduated from the inaugural batch of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (NTU–Imperial) in 2018 and subsequently obtained his Master of Medicine in Family Medicine (M.Med (FM)) and Collegiate Membership of the College of Family Physicians Singapore (MCFPS) in 2023. In 2025, he was awarded the prestigious Dr Koh Eng Kheng Gold Medal as the top national candidate for the Fellowship of the College of Family Physicians Singapore (FCFPS). He is dually board-certified in Family Medicine by the Specialists Accreditation Board and the Family Physician Accreditation Board.

Dr Lee’s clinical interests include comprehensive and holistic patient management, mental health, dermatology, minor procedures and integrated, team-based care. Prior to joining Raffles Medical, he served as a Teamlet Leader, Health and Mind Clinic Champion and Dermatology Champion at Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic (National Healthcare Group Polyclinics), working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure high standards of care delivery and clinical continuity. He is also a Designated Workplace Doctor accredited by the Ministry of Manpower and holds both the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (GDMH) and Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine (GDOM).

Dr Lee has a strong professional interest in clinical ethics, medical law, and medicolegal practice. He works at the Teaching Faculty at the Singapore Medical Association’s Centre for Medical Ethics and Professionalism (CMEP), where he trains doctors on their legal and ethical responsibilities in clinical care. He has served on the Professionalism, Ethics, and Leadership (PEL) committees of both the College of Family Physicians Singapore and the National Healthcare Group Polyclinics, contributing to curriculum development and policy guidance. He has undergone formal training as a medical expert witness under the joint SMA–CFPS–SAL programme and regularly undertakes ethical case analysis and medicolegal report writing.

Deeply involved in medical education, Dr Lee is part of the Core Faculty for the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) and M.Med (FM) programmes under the College of Family Physicians Singapore, and has served as Physician Faculty for the NHG Family Medicine Residency. He has also taught undergraduate students as a clinical educator and content expert at both NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr Lee has received multiple accolades in recognition of his contributions to clinical care, education, research and innovation. These include the NHG Most Valuable Player Award (2022), NHG Quality Improvement Day Award (2022), NHGP iCare Champion Star Award (2023), the NHG–LKC Clinician Scientist Preparatory Programme (CSPP) Award (2024), and the inaugural CFPS–Starry Night Foundation Innovation Award (2024). In 2025, he was awarded the Gold Medal at the Singapore Primary Care Awards at the Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress / NHG Award Day for his research. Earlier in his training, he also won the SMA Medicine Debate Championships (2014) and the LKCMedicine Medical Ethics Case Competition (2018), reflecting a longstanding interest in ethics, communication and professional practice.

Outside of work, Dr Lee enjoys travelling with his wife and collaborating with like-minded colleagues to advance Family Medicine in Singapore and beyond.
