Profile:
Ms Wong has been a Counselling Psychologist for more than 20 years, assisting and helping clients whose ages range from three to 85 years old, through their struggles and difficulties. She is experienced in counselling clients and patients who are faced with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, stress, distress, confusion, adjustment problems, sleep issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship challenges, and also for those preparing to move abroad for work or school.
During her posting as a counsellor at schools for several years, Ms Wong has helped hundreds of high-ability students with Asperger’s syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, behavioural issues, emotional health issues, and mental health issues. She has also helped them to develop relevant self-management life skills in partnership with their parents
Having gone through years of parenting experience she is also able to empathise, relate to, and counsel clients who are overwhelmed with demands at work and at home, helping them navigate the personal adjustments required.
In her role as a clinical supervisor, Ms Wong mentors, guides, and nurtures her supervisees.
Ms Wong adopts the Integrative Approach, which encompasses a range of therapies and treatment plans to fit her clients’ needs. She also uses Psychometric Test and Assessment for mental health diagnosis in helping her clients determine the most suitable career or education path.
She is a member of the Singapore Association for Counselling and Singapore Psychological Society.
