Migrant Domestic Worker (MDW) Medical Checkups and Mandatory Measles Immunity
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has announced that from 1 September 2025, migrant domestic workers (MDWs) working in households with young children who are not vaccinated against measles, must be immunised against the disease.

👉 If YES:
- Your must declare the following when applying for or renewing your MDW’s work permit.
Declaration:
1. MDW’s measles vaccination status:
- Is the MDW vaccinated or immune to measles?
2. Children’s vaccination status:
- Are all your children under 7 fully vaccinated?
3. If MDW is not yet vaccinated:
- Has a vaccination appointment been booked?
*You must provide this confirmation at the point of Work Permit issuance or renewal.
Effective Date:
1 September 2025 – Requirement applies at point of issuance and renewal of MDW's work permit.
Employers may provide documentary proof to MOM, such as a proof of completion of vaccination, serology test result or laboratory confirmation of past infection.
