Profile:

Dr Yap Baojie Benjamin obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Singapore from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2013. During his undergraduate days, Dr Yap was meticulous in his studies and was put on the Dean’s List in 2012. As a final year dental undergraduate, Dr Yap was part of a research team that was selected to represent NUS Faculty of Dentistry in the GC Student Prevention Table Clinic Competition 2013 held in Bangkok, Thailand. His team won the Bronze medal in the competition.

After his graduation, Dr Benjamin Yap served in the public sector for close to 3 years prior to joining Raffles Dental. He attended to the needs of both subsidized and private patients in Hougang Polyclinic for a year and honed his skills to confidently manage patients of all age groups. Dr Yap then spent close to 2 years serving in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), ensuring that SAF personnel were dentally fit for deployments. During which, he was exposed to more complex dental procedures such as oral surgical cases.

Dr Yap believes firmly in continuing dental education. He participates in both local and overseas conferences in order to update his skillset and provides his patients with the most updated and holistic dental experience. Dr Yap also believes in the old saying that prevention is better than cure. He establishes good rapport with his patients to instill the right oral hygiene habits, and works with them to prevent dental diseases.

Hobbies: Travelling to experience different cultures and food around the world, and enjoys tennis.
