Profile:

Dr Wu Qinghui is a Specialist in Urology. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2004 with a PhD degree. He was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. Dr Wu underwent general surgery and urology training at the National University Hospital (NUH), and completed his Fellowship in Robotic Surgery at Cambridge University Hospital where he gained experience in robotic and prostate cancer surgery.

Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, Dr Wu served as Senior Consultant, Director of Research, and Director of Urologic Oncology in the Department of Urology, NUH. He was also the Director of Urologic Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute. He has received numerous awards such as the Young Investigator Award by the National Healthcare Group in 2005, and the Incredible Care Service Champion by NUH in 2023.

Dr Wu’s passion in research has driven him to author research articles and book chapters, including two first-author publications in the Clinical Cancer Research journal. His interest lies in translational and clinical research of cancer and medical devices. He has since patented a few of his medical device inventions. Besides clinical and research work, Dr Wu taught medical students from the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, as well as urology residents. He is also a Member of the Examination Committee for Urology Exit Exams in Singapore.

Dr Wu has clinical interest in minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of urological cancers and stones. He performs various advanced laparoscopic / robotic procedures for the kidney, ureter, bladder, and prostate cancers. He also has experience in treating advanced pelvic cancers. Placing patient-centric care as his mission, he believes in holistic care and providing the best outcomes for his patients.
