Profile:

Dr Chua Siew Eng is a Specialist in Psychiatry with over 30 years of clinical experience. She received training at Cambridge University, the Maudsley Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry, London, and became a specialist in 1995. Dr Chua trained in general adult, child and adolescent, eating disorder, consultation, rehabilitation, and old age psychiatry.

Dr Chua has served as expert witness for court. She also taught and examined medical students and doctors at the LKS Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong, where she held roles as Clinical Associate Professor, Honorary Consultant, and Chief of Education in the Department of Psychiatry, Queen Mary Hospital. Dr Chua is an examiner for doctors taking postgraduate examinations for Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Additionally, she has co-authored approximately 50 journal articles, focusing primarily on brain imaging in schizophrenia and psychosis, autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and movement disorder.

Dr Chua speaks English and Chinese. Her clinical interest includes general adult psychiatry, with core expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of major psychiatric disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety and stress, insomnia, and psychosis.
