Dr Eric Lam is an orthopaedic spine/shoulder surgeon with expertise in various spine conditions and shoulder injuries, particularly degenerative spine disorders. Apart from conventional cervical and lumbar spine surgery, he is also skilled in the latest surgical techniques, including: computer-navigation-assisted pedicle screw insertion and instrumented spinal fusion; minimally invasive spine surgery; artificial disc replacement; diagnostic and therapeutic spinal injections; and nucleoplasty.
Dr Lam attained his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong, and a Master degree of Science in Sports Medicine and Health Science (MScSMHS) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He then completed his specialist training at the Fellowships in Orthopaedics of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
Dr Lam is a member of the Spine Chapter of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association, AOSpine, and the North American Spine Society. Further, he was appointed as the Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor as well as a trainer at both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
