Dr Jeffrey Sng Hong Cheong

Dr Jeffrey Sng is a registered Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, FAMS Prosthodontics. He is also Member and Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRD RCSed Prosthodontics, FDS RCSed Prosthodontics), as well as member of the Prosthodontic Society of Singapore (PSS), the Aesthetic Dentistry Society of Singapore (ADSS), and the Singapore Dental Association (SDA).

Dr Jeffrey Sng obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2004. As a final year student in 2004, his Research Project won first place in the Faculty of Dentistry in NUS and subsequently clinched first place in IADR, International Assoc for Dental Research SEA Division (Student Clinician Category).

After practicing general dentistry for two years at National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS), Dr Sng went further to pursue his interest and study in the Specialty of Dental Prosthodontics. After completed three years of post-graduate studies, he graduated with a Master in Dental Surgery in Prosthodontics in 2009. In the same year, he was also admitted as a Member to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), having obtained his MRD RCSed Prosthodontics at the same time.

Upon completion of the Prosthodontic program, Dr Sng continued his practice of Prosthodontics at National Dental Centre Singapore where his passion for teaching saw him actively involved in giving lectures and training the artistry handwork of dental technician. He was an appointed lecturer and examiner to the dental technician specialist trainees as well. Dr Sng currently also teaches the university students in the Faculty of Dentistry in NUS. Being a firm believer in rendering uncompromising standard of care to patients, Dr Sng was awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service Award in 2011. In 2018, Dr Sng was awarded the Chairman Excellence Award from Raffles Medical Group for his excellent patients treatment and care.

Dr Sng’s treatment philosophy is to optimise and harmonise the function and aesthetic of dental prostheses fabricated for every patient. Dr Sng’s expertise includes crowns to restore weaken teeth, fixed bridges and implants to replace missing teeth, veneers for cosmetic dentistry, removable dentures both for the partial and complete edentulous patients, complex prosthodontic case work-up, and extensive full mouth rehabilitation of the entire dentition, as well as temporomandibular joint disorder management and treatment.

Hobbies: Gardening at home.

Languages Spoken: English and Mandarin. Being a Hokkien, he is fluent in Hokkien dialect as well.
